Job description

Title: Homecare Nurse (RN/RPN)

Location: North Bay ON - with surrounding areas

Employment Type: Full Time

We are looking for a Visiting Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Visiting Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Caring for client needs with extensive experience in wound care management.
  • Experience with IV antibiotic administration, IV Cannulation, Chemo disconnects, CVAD care, and PORT-A-CATH access/de-access is an asset.
  • Enjoy working within the community and traveling between clients.
  • Creating reports and updates on clients.
  • Ordering supplies for patients.
  • Building relationships and rapport with clients.
  • Working independently as a self-starter and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving and providing excellent customer service.
  • Prioritizing safety for yourself and clients.
Skills Needed For Success
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Minimum of two years’ community or clinical/hospital experience preferred.
  • Certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the CNO.
  • Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C).
  • Availability for weekends and on-call shifts.
