Overview

Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home-based and community-setting services. CTG is pioneering a paid healthcare education program and relaunching its Home Support Worker program for the 4th year in a row. This program offers paid virtual classroom training, hands-on experience, and potential employment opportunities upon completion.

Location: This position is based in Guelph and will include travel within the area.

What is this program all about?

You will:

  • Learn the value and impact of home care in the community
  • Support individuals with daily routines like bathing, dressing, eating, personal hygiene and peri-care
  • Receive training in household management and safe mobility practices
  • Build confidence in basic health assessments and reporting
  • Become a trusted member of a multi-disciplinary care team
