Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking compassionate individuals for part-time Home Support Worker roles. Trainees receive a free, paid 3-week in-class training to equip you for quality care in the community.

After completion, you’ll be eligible for full-time hours and benefits, with extensive training and support throughout your career. You will travel to patients’ homes for visits, assist with meals, hygiene, and daily living activities, and provide companionship.

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills.
• Willingness to visit patient residences within a designated area.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass Criminal Background screening on hire.
• Experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.
