Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Home Support Worker to help clients live safely at home by assisting with daily tasks and self-care. A 3-week in-class training is provided, after which you are eligible for full-time hours and benefits.

The role involves traveling to patients, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and personal care, with opportunities for education and career growth. A driver’s license and vehicle access are required.

Qualifications

• Compassion and active listening to support patients and families.

• Criminal background screening will be completed upon hire.
• Driver license and access to a vehicle are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel between patients to complete several home visits daily.

As a Home Support Worker, you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities. You will receive free and paid training in a 3 week in-class program designed to teach you the skills needed to work as a Home Support Worker. Upon graduation you will be eligible for full-time hours and benefits.

What you’ll do

• travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time
