Overview

Home Support Workers are vital members of the healthcare team. In this role, you will support and promote independence for patients in home and community settings by assisting with daily activities under the supervision of our Personal Support Manager.

We are seeking Home Support Workers (HSWs) to help us deliver patient and family-centered care in the Burlington area. Are you someone we should meet?

Our next course intake is September 9th, 2025.

This course includes virtual and in-person training. Requirements for attendance include:

  • Internet access
  • A laptop or device with webcam compatible with Microsoft Teams (CarePartners equipment available upon request)

Role Responsibilities

CarePartners HSWs provide compassionate, professional care in homes and community residences. Responsibilities include:

  • Bathing, showering, personal hygiene
  • Dressing
  • Meal preparation
  • Transferring/repositioning
  • Light housekeeping
  • Bowel/bladder care
  • Socializing and companionship

Qualifications

  • Caring nature and excellent customer service skills
  • Desire to support the community and improve quality of life
  • Ability to attend full-time training
  • Valid G or G2 driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance
  • Current vulnerable sector check and clear background screening

Community Engagement

In addition to home care, CarePartners serves communities through clinics, transitional care units, and relief in retirement and shared care settings. Since 2009, our Community Nursing Services outreach has organized staff-led medical clinics in countries with limited healthcare access.
