Job summary

Lee Anne (Private) in Victoria, BC is seeking a dedicated caregiver to provide personal care and companionship to a senior in their 90s. You will assist with daily tasks while ensuring comfort and well-being. The role requires patience, good communication, and reliable daily support, including meals, hygiene, medication reminders, transfers, and light housekeeping.

Training will be provided. This is a permanent, full-time position (30-40 hours per week) with English as the language of work.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: caregiving experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
• Skills: excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and assist with feeding, following any special dietary requirements.
• Support with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene needs.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with administering routine medications as directed by doctors.
• Help with toileting and provide physical support during transfers between bed and wheelchair.
• Overnight supervision and hands-on care, as needed.
• Light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, bed-making, and tidying common areas.
• Monitor client’s health status and report any changes to family or healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and support throughout daily routines and activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client’s health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship and support throughout daily routines and activities

Qualifications
