Home Support Worker

Li Lang and family from Surrey, BC is looking for the suitable individual for the Home Support Worker position. The details are as follows:

Job title: Home Support Worker

NOC: 44101

Number of Positions: 1

Work Location: Surrey, BC

Work Hours: 30.00 hours per week

Wages: $23.00 CAD per hour

Duration of Job: Full time, Permanent

Responsibilities:
  1. Answer call signals to provide personal care to the elderly such as aid in bathing essentials, personal hygiene, and dressing.
  2. Provide personal care and companionship.
  3. Prepare meals and special diets, feed or assist in feeding.
  4. Assist and supervise exercise routines and outdoor activities.
  5. Test blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and keep records.
  6. Make beds and maintain the room tidy.
  7. Perform maintenance tasks such as cleaning or sterilizing medical equipment.
  8. Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry and washing dishes.
  9. May accompany the client to doctor’s appointments.
  10. Perform other related duties as required.
Employment Requirements:
  1. Completion of secondary school is required.
  2. Completion of a relevant education or training program as a care provider or previous experience in a similar role.
  3. First aid certification is required.
