A Permanent Full-Time position for a Personal Support Worker – Home Support is in need in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Duties include:

Provide care and companionship for individuals and families during periods of incapacitation, convalescence or family disruption
Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
Assist in feeding clients
Assist in regular exercise e.g. walking
May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.

Work Condition and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks and attention to detail

Wages and Benefits: Wages of $20.85 per hour, for 32-40 hours per week.

Work Experience: Must have at least 1 year of elderly care experience. Must have a strong command in English language both written and oral communication.

Education: Some Secondary School Education is usually required. College or other courses in home support may be required.

Completion of a training program in care of the elderly or in a related field may be required. First Aid Certification is required

Job Location: Qualified Candidate will look after an elderly resident living in River Ridge Seniors Village at 4 River Ridge Dr. NW, Medicine Hat, AB. T1A 8V1.
