To meet the demands of our rapidly growing customer base, Handyman Connection - Guelph is seeking an experienced Contractor. This skilled craftsman should have a variety of home improvement skills to support our business growth. Handyman Connection is a locally owned and operated, well-established Home Improvement Company dedicated to excellent customer service and quality work. Our customers love us! We have over 50% repeat/referral customer base, and our business is expanding.

What You Will Receive

• Earn $30-35/hour, depending on skills and availability
• Professional Office Support - scheduling, customer support, job tracking

Responsibilities

The Contractor should have expertise in multiple home repair, maintenance, and remodeling areas. You need basic construction skills, organization, and effective communication with a positive attitude. We seek craftsmen or craftswomen capable of bidding and completing work. Candidates with at least 3 of the following skills are ideal:

• General Carpentry - Rough and Finish
• Bathroom Upgrades / Remodel
• Kitchen Refresh / Remodel
• Interior and Exterior Painting
• Drywall Repair / Patching / Caulking
• Minor Plumbing and Electrical Knowledge
• Flooring Repair and Installation
• General Home Repairs and Maintenance

Candidates should also be confident in:

• Customer Service and Client Relations
• Knowledge of Building Codes
• Material Management

Requirements

• Current Driver's License and Insurance
• Tools, work vehicle, and good references
• Experience in remodeling or home repair trades
• Liability insurance for independent contractors
• WSIB (preferred but not necessary)
• Pass screening including background check
• Smartphone and internet access

Please, no Project Managers or those primarily experienced in New Construction.
