Mint Health & Drugs in Stony Plain, Alberta, is seeking a Health Care Aide/Assistant to support home healthcare needs in the community. The role focuses on compassionate patient care and expert advice on available medical aids to patients and families.

Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for patients, assisting with products such as compression socks and mobility aids, and handling billing and administration for patients and government bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health care, including fitting compression socks and assisting with walkers and other supplies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High level of empathy and professionalism in patient interactions.
• Kroll and POS experience is an asset.
• Compression sock fitting certification, Health Care Aid Certification, or RN would be ideal.
• Typically Monday through Friday with some Saturdays as needed.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary contact for patients and families regarding home healthcare needs.
• Assist walk-in and existing patients with products such as compression socks, mobility aids, hernia belts, and incontinence supplies.
• Handle billing to patients and applicable government bodies, process payments, and support families during stressful situations.
