Job summary

CommerceLink Logistics, a division of Canada Cartage, is seeking dedicated Class 1 pay-per-mile drivers for Surrey, BC. You will operate tractor-trailers, perform pickups and deliveries, and ensure load security and safety compliance on diverse routes.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license with a clean record, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Home-daily opportunities may be available depending on routes and location.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
• Knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned routes.
• Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure proper load securement compliant with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate logbooks (electronic or paper; E-logs preferred).
• Comply with provincial and Canadian transportation regulations including Hours of Service.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding routes and delays.
• Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
• Report incidents, delays, equipment concerns promptly.
