CommerceLink Logistics, a division of Canada Cartage, is hiring Calgary-based Class 1 Pay Per Mile Drivers. You will operate tractor-trailers, complete timely pickups and deliveries, and maintain safety-focused logbooks.

Openings include Calgary PPM positions with home-daily opportunities depending on route. Requires valid Class 1 license and a clean safety record, with 2+ years of Class 1 driving experience. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned routes.
• Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure proper load securement per safety rules.
• Maintain accurate logs (electronic or paper, E-logs preferred).
• Comply with provincial and Canadian transportation regulations, including Hours of Service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned routes
• Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
• Ensure proper securement of all loads in compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks, with E-Logs preferred
• Comply with all applicable provincial and Canadian transportation regulations, including Hours of Service
• Communicate effectively with Dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates
• Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
• Report incidents, delays, equipment concerns, and mechanical issues promptly
• Follow all CommerceLink Logistics policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License

• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
• Knowledge of local and regional routes
• Experience with dry van, reefer, and heater equipment is an asset
