Job summary

CommerceLink Logistics is looking for a dedicated Class 1, LCV Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods between Nisku and the Calgary area, ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Home-daily opportunities may be available depending on routes and location. The driver will perform pickups/deliveries, complete inspections, logbook duties, and maintain compliance with Hours of Service and safety standards, with strong dispatch communication and

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Clean abstract and strong safety record.
• Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
• Knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Experience with dry van, reefer and heater equipment an asset.
• Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations.
• 1 year of LCV experience required for LCV roles.
• Experience building and breaking LCV sets.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 tractor-trailer units safely on assigned routes.
• Perform timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Ensure proper load securement in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain logs, with E-Logs preferred.
• Comply with provincial and Canadian transportation regulations including Hours of Service.
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding routes, delays, and updates.
• Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
• Report incidents, delays, equipment concerns, and mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all CommerceLink Logistics policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Skills

Valid Class 1 license

Clean driving record

2+ years Class 1 experience

Knowledge of local routes

Dry van / Reefer / Heater equipment
