Job summary

Blossoms senior care in Brandon, MB is hiring caregivers to support clients at home and in our community. The Health care aides and Support Workers will follow care plans, assist with daily living tasks, and help maintain comfort and safety for residents.

Candidates should have clear criminal record checks, current first aid/CPR, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to respond to emergencies. Training and ongoing support are provided to deliver compassionate, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search.
• Satisfactory adult and child record check.
• Current first aid/CPR.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to respond accordingly to emergency situations, and observe changes in clients condition.
• Meets safety standards in using equipment (lifts, wheelchair, and mobility aids).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in relation to care plan.
• Assist with daily living (toileting, bathing, oral care, pericare).
• Assist with ambulation and mobilization (lifts, transfers, and exercise).
• Meal prep.
• Medication reminders and assistance.
• Light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments.
• Companionship.
• Write a daily report and be in contact with Blossoms office if there are any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being.
