Job summary

Muskoka Builders is seeking a full-time Audio-Video/Home Automation Integrator for projects in the Muskoka and Parry Sound region. The role focuses on installation and wiring of televisions, audio systems, and home automation in new and existing residential construction.

You will handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure quality finishings per standards and codes, while managing parts inventory and customer billing. Strong English communication and construction knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

  • Install and wire TVs, audio systems, home automation, and power blinds in residential construction.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems.
  • Ensure finishing work complies with corporate standards, drawings, and codes.
  • Manage parts inventory and ensure accurate customer billing.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and building/electrical codes.

Job description

We’re looking for a full-time Audio-Video/Home Automation Integrator to work with us in the Muskoka and Parry Sound region.


What you’ll do


  • Responsible for installation and wiring equipment such as televisions, audio systems, home automation systems, and power blinds in new and existing construction, primarily within a residential construction setting.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems.

  • Ensures finishing work, equipment and fixtures are satisfactorily installed to the corporate standard, site drawings and the applicable building and electrical codes.

  • Manages parts and materials inventory and ensures accurate billing to customers.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to an ever-changing field of technology. Stays current with industry changes and trends, including changes to the building and electrical codes.


Experience and qualifications


  • Previous experience and knowledge of audio-video and home automation equipment.
    Computer and networking knowledge and skills.

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Standard construction knowledge.
