Love hockey? Good with tech? Want to be part of something game-changing?
Join a fast-moving team in Metro Vancouver that's bringing cutting-edge player and puck tracking technology to rinks across North America. At Drive Hockey Analytics, we’re building the future of sports tech—helping teams, coaches, and players tap into elite-level data to elevate performance, connect fans, and reimagine the game.
We’re looking for a Hockey Tech Operations Specialist who’s hands-on, tech-savvy, and passionate about hockey to help us assemble, operate, and support our sensor-based tracking systems. This is a key part-time role for someone ready to jump into the action—working odd hours (days, nights, weekends) and getting real-world experience in an exciting, fast-growing industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
·Assemble and maintain advanced sensor-based tracking systems (player & puck tracking)
·Support and train teams and partners on how to use our tracking systems and mobile apps
·Plan and execute on-site system setup for games, practices, and events
·Deliver tracking services at live games across the region and occasionally in the U.S./Canada
·Be a brand ambassador—represent Drive Hockey online, at events, and within your network
·Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with our development team for fixes and feedback
·Get hands-on with hardware: use lasers, CNC machines, 3D printers, small tools, and more
·Support operational tasks like rink calibrations, customer outreach, and running on-ice events
What’s in It for You:
·$25/hr base pay + performance bonuses for completed events
·A flexible, part-time role with work-from-home tasks and irregular but exciting hours
·Opportunity to travel to high-profile hockey events across North America
·Be part of a small, tight-knit team building innovative sports tech from the ground up
·Career growth into sports technology, product operations, business, and more
About You:
·You live around Metro Vancouver and able to commute within the area
·You’ve got a background in engineering, sport science, business, or tech
·You have 2+ years experience in tech support, sports ops, or the hockey world
·You’re a people person—great communicator, comfortable with teams and tech alike
·You’ve played hockey, coached, volunteered, or just eat/sleep/breathe the game
·You’re reliable, proactive, and not afraid to get your hands dirty
·Bonus if you’ve used power tools, worked with hardware, or dabbled in electronics
This is more than a side gig—it’s a chance to grow with something special. We’re on a mission to change the game, and you could be on the ground floor of something big.
