Job description

Adecco is currently seeking a HMGP Control Room Operator in Lloydminster, AB to join our client's team for a 7.5-month contract starting September 15th. This role involves operating and monitoring pipelines, terminals, and facilities using SCADA and Leak Detection systems in a 24 / 7 / 365 environment. Candidates must be comfortable working 12-hour day and night shifts in a rotating schedule.

Location : Lloydminster, AB

Shifts : 5 days on 5 days off, 4 days on 5 days off and 5 days on and 4 days off

New and quicker onboarding process Responsibilities :

Remotely control and operate pipeline facilities, terminals, and LACT stations using SCADA and Leak Detection systems.

Monitor system performance, conduct volume metric balancing, and respond to abnormal or emergency conditions.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and SCADA technicians to ensure operational integrity.

Adhere to safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, following the Control Room Management Plan and company standards.

Maintain clear communication, accurate records, and respond to operational issues in a timely, calm manner. Requirements :

Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

Hold a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Certified as GPO, PFO, 4th Class Power Engineer, or Journeyman tradesperson.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SAP, along with strong keyboard and IT skills.

Previous experience in operations, energy, or industrial control room settings preferred.

Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written; maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations; and show the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Able to assess situations quickly, follow established procedures, and make informed decisions using available resources.

Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision while meeting performance and safety standards.
