Position: Booster Juice Crew Member

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager, F&B Assistant Manager, F&B Supervisor(s)

Salary Range: $17.46

Hours: up to 15 hours per week (based on business needs & availability)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Booster Juice Crew Members are responsible for the preparation and serving of all food and beverage in the Booster Juice, adhering to corporate standards and specifications, as well as stocking, rotating and preparation of raw materials and menu items. Crew members may also be asked to help with catering events and additional prep tasks. They are required to keep a clean and organized station, keep the dish area tidy and sanitary, and to perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks. Crew members will be expected to demonstrate menu, recipe, and general product knowledge (as per corporate standards) and participate in staff contests and features or themes. They will also be expected to provide excellent customer service, greet guests enthusiastically and properly handle cash tills, one card and debit/credit transactions appropriately.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Booster Juice crew members report to the Food & Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, and F&B Supervisor(s) at their respective campus of employment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The functions of a Booster Juice crew member cover a wide variety of responsibilities in the daily operations of the SSU hospitality & facilities and may be modified from time to time by the management team. It is important to note that not all functions and duties are contained within this definition, and the position itself should be ever changing and adaptive. Nevertheless, specific roles and responsibilities allocated to this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring all menu items are prepared timely, safely and served according to corporate standards.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Uphold food safety standards, and ensure a safe, quality product is always being served.
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning tasks as prescribed by the management team.
  • Keep dish area, staff areas, and all food storage area clean and organized.
  • Remove garbage, organic, and recycling items efficiently and safely & dispose in the proper allocated areas.
  • Be mindful of personal appearance and outlet appearance at all times, adhering to corporate uniform specifications – this includes wearing the proper uniform, keeping hair tied or covered, wearing gloves, and washing hands thoroughly and regularly (ie. after handling cash & using washrooms, before handling food, etc.).
  • Ring in orders as necessary into the point of sale (POS) system and adhere to proper cash handling processes.
  • Follow and maintain all health and safety regulations.
  • Food Safety certification Level 1 (training & certification arranged through the SSU).
