This position is specifically for an adjunct instructor who will offer one in-person section of US History 1 in the fall semester and one in-person section of US History 2 in the spring semester. Both sections will be taught in person at the host school, and the instructor must meet all of the host school's requirements in addition to UNCP's hiring standards.

This position is subject to the successful completion of an employment background check. An employment background check includes a criminal background check, employment verification, reference checks, license verification (if applicable) and credit history check (if applicable). In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. New employees are paid only by direct deposit to the financial institution of their choice. Candidates claiming Veterans Preference must attach a copy of their DD-214 as a part of the online application process.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Master's Degree in History or a related field that includes a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in History. All degrees must come from accredited institutions. Applicants should have experience teaching both university and high school students, and must be available to teach in person M-F in Fayetteville, NC.












































To offer dual enrollment courses: American Civilizations to 1877 (Fall) and American Civilizations since 1877 (Spring).

The Department of History is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach dual enrollment courses in American Civilizations to 1877 (one in-person section in the fall semester) and American Civilizations since 1877 (one in-person section in the spring semester).
