Job description

Lawson Clark & Oldman is one of Durham Region’s oldest and well-respected law firms. We are seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Law Clerk (minimum 5-7 years experience) to join our firm. The successful candidate will assist lawyers with all aspects of a real estate file (commercial, residential, mortgage etc.) and must have the ability to manage real estate closings from beginning to end. The full-time, permanent position is based in Ajax, Ontario(This position is in-office – not remote) . This position would be the ideal opportunity for a senior real estate clerk with a professional work ethic seeking to work in a rewarding and fast-paced environment. Managing purchase, sale, mortgage re-finance transactions on residential and commercial files; Preparation of disbursement statements and draft accounts; Other administrative tasks as assigned. Minimum of 5-7 years experience in a Real Estate Law Clerk role; Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited Ontario Law Clerk program certified with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario; Proficient in Teraview, Unity, PCLAW, and Microsoft Office; Ability to multitask and manage real estate files from start to finish; Extended health benefits (including dental care and life insurance) Complimentary on-site parking Work-life balance (Work hours are 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, Monday through Friday. ca, and include “Senior Real Estate Law Clerk” in the e-mail subject line.
