Job description

As a member of the engineering team and reporting to the Diagnostics and Validation Team Leader in the Mechatronics Group, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the “Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)” system as a test and simulation solution for the various electrical and mechatronic systems equipping our BRP vehicles. You will also be responsible for:

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop and execute test plans required for the validation of electronic modules, electrical systems and embedded software, taking into account established norms and standards;

  • Develop simulation models for embedded module validation systems.

  • Support mechatronics project engineers in the verification and validation of technical specifications (TRD).

  • Design, develop and maintain equipment and software required for the validation of electronic modules, electrical systems and embedded software.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a strong interest in embedded software programming;

  • A degree in physics or computer science with relevant experience will be considered.

  • Oral and written bilingualism essential (French/English).

  • Good problem-solving and synthesis skills;

  • Knowledge of simulation models for software and validation.

  • Understand the transfer of physical phenomena -> sensors -> analog signal -> module (processing) -> action or communication protocol;

  • Understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software and mechanical principles;
