Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. in Alberta is seeking an experienced foreperson-support professional to guide highway maintenance crews and operate heavy equipment. You will help plan daily work, ensure safety standards, and monitor crew performance while maintaining roads year-round.

The role requires a valid heavy vehicle license, supervisory experience, and strong communication skills. Camp and meal allowances are provided for non-local candidates, with a comprehensive benefits package through CLAC.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field required.
• Strong safety-first approach and ability to communicate effectively.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills; computer literacy an asset.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing and audiogram may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment as required.
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round and assist with labourer duties.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Assist leadership with daily safety meetings, inspections and reports.
• Support Foreperson in planning work to meet milestones.
• Monitor crew quality of work and ensure safety and environmental standards.
