The shift pattern for this position is Mon-thu 8.30-4.30, fri 8.30-4.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Band 6 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to work within the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. NRU is a regional resource providing specialist rehabilitation for neurologically impaired and major trauma patients.
Candidates must have a keen interest and experience in neurological rehabilitation. They will work collaboratively with patients and their families, delivering physiotherapy that optimises mobility and function. Team work is essential for this role with a requirement for joint and interdisciplinary working. The post is predominantly providing inpatient rehabilitation, with the added opportunity to work in rehabilitation and spasticity outpatient clinics.
The unit has a strong focus on development and this role will be involved in quality improvement projects both within physiotherapy and wider NRU services. Staff development is valued and B6 therapists will be supported with their own CPD alongside providing supervision for B5 rotational therapists, support workers and students.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate inpatient experience and be skilled in neurorehabilitation.
Applicants must have a Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
Hours of work are: 37 - Mon –Thu 8.30-4.30, Fri 8.30-4.00
