Job description

Highlands Nordic is looking for an individual to join our team as Program Director.

This person will be responsible for managing outdoor education programs for school groups (elementary and high school) as well as programs for recreational groups and high school athletes. Elementary and high school programs are curriculum-based. This person would also be in charge of facility bookings and assist with day camp administration.

The successful applicant must be enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible. They must want to be part of a collaborative staff team working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Applicants familiar with Ontario School Curriculum requirements, as well as experience with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, is an asset.

The position is full-time (between 35 – 40 hours per week), starting February 3, 2025. Some weekend work may be required. This is a salaried position with benefits including free skiing, snowshoeing, disc golf, and mountain biking, along with employee ProShop discounts.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Oversee safety systems and logs for the facility
  2. Manage, implement, and assist in the development and strengthening of programming for elementary and secondary schools
  3. Manage bookings for school-based programs
  4. Manage facility bookings
  5. Manage seasons pass holder file
  6. Oversee invoicing groups for services and facilities provided
  7. Provide support in rental area and front desk as required
  8. Other duties as assigned
