Job summary

Phasor Engineering is seeking an experienced High Voltage Field Commissioning Lead to oversee testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection and control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization. This field-based role involves travel to project sites across Canada on a 14/7 rotation.

You will lead field teams, read drawings and schematics, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety standards are met while delivering reliable, high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification.
• 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments.
• Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment is a strong asset.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced High Voltage Field Commissioning Lead to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification
• 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments
• Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience
• Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure
• Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required

Candidates must be legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada. Background checks and Drug & Alcohol testing will be required as part of employment, and must have a valid driver's licence with a clean abstract.

Expected annual earnings: $175,000-$245,000, inclusive of base salary and overtime (actual earnings may vary based on experience and project requirements.)
