Job description

Spark Power, a trusted partner in power in North America, is looking for a High Voltage Electrical Foreman to lead our crews in Belleville, ON. The Foreman is responsible for leading the crew and installing electrical systems in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications, for performing jobs safely and efficiently, and for keeping customers and equipment running.

Here’s what you will do as an Electrical Foreman:
  1. Demonstrate your commitment to safety in the workplace.
  2. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
  3. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  4. Install conduit, wire, and terminate conductors.
  5. Install fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems.
  6. Order required parts and control all job materials using our computer system.
  7. Complete work orders as per client specifications and input; review the completed job with the customer to ensure complete satisfaction.
  8. Lead and mentor Apprentices and Journeymen in a positive manner, promoting skills development and quality workmanship.

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • A valid Provincial Certified Journeyman Electrician license.
  • 5 years of relevant electrical experience, preferably in a commercial, institutional, or industrial setting.
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience in the electrical trade with an ability to mentor Apprentices.
  • Solid knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code.
  • A valid C class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A desire for continuous improvement.
