Overview Of Role

TSMC Design Technology Canada Inc. has an immediate opening for circuit design talent from within North America to join its world-class SRAM compiler team in our Ottawa Office.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop projects on advanced FinFET/GAA processes (2nm and below).
  • Design and verify high-speed, high-density memory compilers for mainstream products.
  • Optimize circuits for power, performance, and area.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers for physical implementation.
  • Use modern IC design tools for schematic capture, simulation, verification, and layout.
  • Script and program to automate design tasks, utilizing Linux scripting, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Work closely with colleagues in layout and verification teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-7 years of circuit design experience.
  • Experience with advanced process circuit design (e.g., 7nm/5nm or below).
  • Knowledge of semiconductor physics, circuit theory, CMOS implementation; experience with FinFET/GAA technologies preferred.
  • Expertise in CMOS logic design, analog transistor-level optimization, and full-custom layout.
  • Proficiency with IC design tools and scripting languages (Perl, Python).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, integrity, and innovation skills.

Education

  • MSc EE or PhD EE preferred.
