Job summary

Oxford Learning Paris in Paris, Ontario is seeking a part-time teacher-tutor to support Grade 9-12 math and science. You will teach up to three students after school, in person, using pre-planned lessons and the company's proven methods.

High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor

Oxford Learning Paris is seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is ideal for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in math and science.

Tutor‑teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Employment type: Part‑time | Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour | Location: Brant, Ontario (Oxford Learning Paris, #13 – 1084 Rest Acres Road, Paris, ON) | Schedule: Monday to Thursday 3:30 pm – 8:00 pm (evenings), with a preference for continued service through June and into the summer.

This role is in‑person. Applicants must be able to commute to the location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Position Requirements

All teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours. A commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
Teaching certification an asset
Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
