The Society of Christian Schools in BC is seeking a full-time High School Education Assistant starting in August 2025. THE POSITION?
Be an advocate for students and their needs.
Uphold strict privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Maintain professional and respectful communication with teachers, staff, students and parents.
Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the participation of all students in classroom activities.
Provide support to the student individually (1:1) or in small groups.
Assist in adapting situations, environment, materials and activities so the student can be successful.
Implement IEP goals, planned strategies and activities for the student.
Assist in developing and implementing a behavior support plan when necessary.
Keep anecdotal records, work samples etc. to document student progress and history.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and/or further training in supporting students with autism or FASD, personal care needs, or other learning differences.
Evidence of a strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles and participation in a local Christian church community.
