Qualifications

GardaWorldis seeking a highly experienced, polished, and discreet Executive Protection & Lobby Ambassador to support a high-profile client within an upscale office environment.

As a member of GardaWorld’s elite protective services team, you will serve as both a trusted protective presence and the first point of contact in the lobby—ensuring a seamless blend of safety, privacy, and exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has a background inexecutive or close protection, operates with emotional intelligence and professionalism, and thrives in an environment where discretion, situationalawareness, and attention to detail are paramount.

  • Maintain a calm, low-profile, and watchful protective presence throughout the office to safeguard the principal and ensure a secure environment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact in the lobby—greeting the principal, VIP guests, and visitors with discretion, professionalism, and warmth.
  • Enforce access policies, verify credentials, monitor check-ins, and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted into secure areas.
  • Continuously assess the environment for risks or suspicious activity. Respond appropriately to potential threats or incidents using GardaWorld’s security protocols.
  • Act as a key liaison during emergency events (fire, medical, evacuations), ensuring the principal’s safety while coordinating with building personnel and first responders.
  • Utilize building surveillance, alarm, and communication systems to maintain real-time situational awareness and ensure readiness.
  • Coordinate closely with the client’s executive assistants, building management, internal staff, and GardaWorld’s local command structure to align on protocols and expectations.
  • Anticipate the needs of the principal and ensure a smooth, discreet, and professional experience at all times, with a focus on privacy and comfort.
  • Maintain detailed shift logs, visitor records, and incident reports in accordance with GardaWorld and client reporting standards.
  • Maintain a polished, well-groomed appearance, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and remain alert, composed, and responsive throughout the workday.
Qualifications for High-Profile Protection Ambassador
  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license
  • First aid certification - an asset
  • 3+ years of experience in executive close protection, corporate/private security, or law enforcement
  • Prior experience in high-profile, customer-facing environments strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact with executives, and VIP guests with discretion and tact
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate threats, de-escalate conflict, and maintain a composed presence under pressure
  • Proficient in operating CCTV, access control, and emergency response systems
