Job summary

Vmoves Fleet Solutions seeks reliable HGV drivers for nationwide movement of vehicles across the UK. You will collect, inspect, and deliver vehicles, log photos in our app, and coordinate travel plans. Overnight stays possible, with weekly payments and comprehensive induction. Must hold UK HGV entitlement, CPC, and tachograph card; DBS eligibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver HGVs and commercial vehicles safely across the UK
• Inspect vehicle condition and record photos using our app
• Plan onward travel and communicate with customers/planning team
• Stay overnight as required (3–4 nights per week)
• Follow DVLA trade plate requirements and road safety standards
• Independently manage movements and attend induction/training

Nationwide | Typical earnings £800 to £1,100+ per week | Weekly payments

WHAT YOU COULD EARN

• £800 to £1,100+ typical weekly earnings

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Collect and deliver HGVs and commercial vehicles safely and professionally across the UK
• Inspect vehicle condition and record accurate photographs and information using our app
• Keep customers and our planning team updated
• Plan onward travel between vehicles using trains, buses, taxis or walking
• Follow road safety, customer and DVLA trade plate requirements
• Stay overnight or go via home – The movement offered will advise you of the plan, and dependent on where you live and your availability, you may be out overnight up to 3-4 nights per week
• Previous trade plate or vehicle movement experience is welcome but not essential. We provide induction and practical training covering our systems, inspection standards and travelling between movements.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Full UK driving licence with the appropriate HGV entitlement
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR, CD, DD or TT99 endorsements
• Right to work in the UK and ability to pass a DBS check
• Confident using a smartphone to photograph vehicles and record inspection information
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused
• Comfortable using public transport between assignments and working away when required

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This is a nationwide travelling role, not a depot-to-depot job. Days can include early starts, changing plans, public transport and nights away. It suits adaptable, organised people who enjoy working independently.

ABOUT VMOVES

Vmoves has been in the trade plating for nearly 50 years, a family-run vehicle logistics company providing vehicle collection, inspection and delivery services for our customers with dedicated planning and driver support teams who look after our workforce.

£20 for the first 50 miles of every individual journey 24p per mile thereafter 25p per mile after 3 months' service 26p per mile after 6 months' service 27p per mile after 12 months' service You are paid weekly every Friday with public transport reimbursed paid a week in arrears
