Multitask Personnel is hiring an experienced HGV Tanker Driver/Drainage Engineer in the Aylesford area. This field-based role involves operating vacuum tankers at sewage pumping stations and treatment plants, delivering drainage services and maintaining safety.

You will join a growing national company, benefit from uncapped overtime with an OTE around £60,000, and participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota to support 24/7 coverage. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Competenze

• Class 2 HGV licence required; Class 1 licence preferred.
• Experience operating vacuum tankers.
• Experience in drainage/utilities/wastewater operations.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, sewerage and safety requirements.
• Full UK driving licence; ability to commute to Aylesford within ~45 minutes.
• Certifications such as CSCS/EUSR/HPWJ/NRSWA are advantageous but not essential.

The Role

This field-based role involves working across sewage pumping stations, treatment plants and other water-related systems. You will carry out tanker and drainage services, operate high-pressure vacuum suction equipment and deliver excellent customer service while working safely in varied outdoor site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out the emptying and cleaning of customers’ drainage and wastewater assets.


• Drive and operate HGV vacuum tankers safely and professionally.


• Operate high-pressure vacuum suction equipment in line with rigorous safety standards.


• Work across sewage pumping stations, treatment plants and other water-related systems.


• Provide an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise.


• Follow relevant health and safety requirements relating to drainage and waste operations.


• Accurately record work and job details through internal and client systems and apps.


• Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota to support 24/7 emergency coverage.

About You

• A minimum Class 2 HGV licence; a Class 1 licence would be preferred.


• Previous experience operating vacuum tankers.


• Experience within drainage, utilities, water, environmental or wastewater operations.


• A good understanding of drainage, sewerage and relevant health and safety requirements.


• Excellent customer service skills and a positive, flexible, can‑do attitude.


• A full UK driving licence.


• The ability to commute to the Aylesford office within approximately 45 minutes.


• CSCS, EUSR, HPWJ, NRSWA Street Works or Confined Space Entry and Rescue certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
