Job: Remote Camp HEO/Driver (Class 3 with Air Minimum)
Location:
Remote Fly-in Camp, Nunavut
Rotation: 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off
Background Checks: Drug & Alcohol screening and criminal record check will be conducted

Position Overview:
Tamatta Mining, one of our esteemed clients, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)/Driver to join their team at a remote fly-in camp in Nunavut. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in loading and unloading planes on the airstrip and delivering materials around the site.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain front-end loaders, forklifts, and flatbed trucks to facilitate material handling.
  • Safely load and unload aircraft, ensuring all materials are handled according to safety protocols.
  • Transport materials and equipment to various locations on-site as required.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
  • Valid Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement.
  • Proficient in operating front-end loaders, forklifts, and flatbed trucks.
  • Experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols in a remote work environment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role and adapt to changing work conditions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is based in a remote camp environment with a 3-week on, 3-week off rotation.
  • Candidates must be comfortable living and working in isolated conditions.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations is mandatory.
