Shared Health Manitoba, located at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB, invites applications for a permanent full-time Hematopathologist to support provincial diagnostic services across hematology, lymphoma, transfusion medicine, and immunology. You will join a hematopathology practice group and participate in teaching within the University of Manitoba Department of Pathology.

Qualifications include an MD, RCPSC Hematopathology Certification, and eligibility for Manitoba licensure.

Job Description

Shared Health Manitoba. (located at 1800 - 330 Portage Avenue, Wpg, MB, R3C 0C4) is seeking applications for a permanent full-time Hematopathologist to fill a labour shortage in Manitoba. The successful candidate will join a hematopathology practice group that provides comprehensive diagnostic services on hematology, lymphoma, transfusion medicine, and immunology to the Province of Manitoba.

Primary duties

Primary duties will include comprehensive hematopathology in support of various local tertiary care programs, and a provincial referral program. Expertise in lymphoma, hemostasis and transfusion medicine is an asset. All job duties are required in English.

Candidates will take part in the teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate students and hold an appointment in the University of Manitoba Department of Pathology.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a medical degree, certification in Hematological Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation

Shared Health provides a competitive compensation package (salary scale starts at $393.157.22 annually), a benefits plan that includes health & dental and annual vacation of 27 days. Specialty physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
