Job description

REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is one of the areas Environmental Services providers. For over 20 years, REgroup has been serving HRM and surrounding areas with integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking full time and/or part time Helpers to be a part of our team, based out of Truro, NS.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Load and unload waste materials under varying traffic and road conditions
  • Collect garbage and recycling materials from residential properties
  • Be aware of surroundings at all times
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
  • Ensure safety of fellow employees
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience

  • Class 5 License
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properly
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 40lbs independently
  • Previous waste and or recycling experience is considered an asset but not necessary
