About Us:

CanCrete Equipment Ltd., headquartered in Mississauga, is a leading supplier of parts and equipment for Canada’s concrete pumping market. We offer solutions to the concrete industry, be it through new equipment, used equipment, rentals, parts, service, or simply providing advice when needed.

Position Summary:

Lead and oversee the day-to-day service operations of our Vancouver location while inspecting, diagnosing, recommending, and repairing faults & malfunctions in mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electronics of equipment for servicing.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with equipment owners for authorizing servicing and repairs as required.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Ensure fair, timely, and quality service work on all client units.
  • Create/review documentation and/or work orders to ensure all required information is accurate, legible, and complete for communication with clients and accounting.
  • Close work orders once reviewed for parts, labour, and technical content.
  • Inspect, diagnose, recommend, service, and repair faults & malfunctions in mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electronics of concrete pumping equipment.
  • Check/test all repaired work to ensure that pumps are in good and safe operating condition.
  • Input to repair order to ensure all required information on work order is accurate, legible, and complete.
  • Maintain accurate personal timecards associated with work orders.
  • Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order and ensure the parts person is aware of stock taken.
  • Maintenance on support equipment and fleet.
  • Over the phone customer support may be required.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, maintain and utilize appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of secondary school or trade certificate an asset.
  • 5+ years experience in a managerial position.
  • Possess strong technical skills with the ability to inspect, diagnose, recommend, service, and repair faults & malfunctions in mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and electronics of equipment.
  • 5+ years experience working on Mack or Putzmeister equipment.
  • 5+ years experience working on hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in using MS Windows, Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • SAP proficiency +2 years experience is an asset.
  • Able to work at heights (can provide training).
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Able to work independently, or as part of a team, be reliable, and self-driven.
  • An understanding of concrete, construction, and concrete pumping.
  • Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with a positive attitude.
