• Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or third/fourth year HET apprentice required.
• Clean Class 5 drivers’ licence needed.
• Capability to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment.
• Conduct maintenance and installation of equipment.
• Travel to customer locations for service and repairs.

Job description

As a leading dealership, we specialize in Bobcat, Develon Heavy Equipment, Bobcat forklifts, Precision Trailers, and Grasshopper products. We are currently looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Technician (Preferably 3^rd-4^th year apprentice or Journeyman) to join our Service team.
As the Heavy Equipment Technician, you are responsible for:

• Troubleshooting and completing diagnostic repairs
• Completing the installation of new and added on equipment
• Cleaning, lubricating, and other maintenance work
• Ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies
• Maintaining a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
• Traveling to customer locations to diagnose, service, and repair equipment

You have the following skills and education:

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, or a registered 3^rd or 4^th year HET apprentice with your own tools
• Class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract and the ability to go on service calls when required
• Experience working on bobcats, loaders, generators, man-lifts, etc.
• Knowledge of power, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to be flexible and to work well under pressure

You are able to work in the following conditions:

• 40 hours a week plus on-call and overtime when required
• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, both at our shop and at customer locations
• Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Working while wearing PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
