A leading equipment repair company is hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician in Central Ontario to handle repair and maintenance tasks on heavy mining equipment. This role requires a Journeyman technician with recent experience and skills in diagnosing various equipment issues. Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician
Location:Central Ontario
Base Rate:$62.50/hr.
OT:4 hours daily paid out at $93.75/hr.
Schedule:14X14 - 12-hour days
Night Shift Premium: $1.25/hr.
Accommodations: Camp accommodations
Flights Paid: Yes, fly into the location from any major airport in Canada
Tools Provided: Tools will be provided
Travel Time: Paid to and from the site daily and at each end of your set

Big Country Equipment is a BC-based heavy equipment service and repair company that works with resource-based customers in the construction, forestry, mining, and oil and gas sectors in Western Canada. Big Country Equipment was formed in 2017. We have grown rapidly from a one-truck operation to over 100 employees and a fleet of over 30 fully tooled service trucks, taking care of customers throughout Western Canada 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We are looking for self-starters who are career-minded, ready, and willing to get the job done in a safe, positive manner, and must be able to work professionally with co-workers and customers. This job is in many locations across BC, and we are mainly servicing open pit mining operations.
