Job summary

Ledcor is seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Technicians to support the CNRL Albian Reclamation project in Fort MacKay, AB. You will service haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators to keep equipment safe and reliable for the job ahead.

Join Ledcor’s true blue team and work in a camp environment with 14 days on/14 days off. The role requires CAT/John Deere/Komatsu experience and the ability to work day or night shifts in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on repair experience on heavy mining equipment or heavy civil equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems required.
  • Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools is essential.
  • Experience with CAT, John Deere or Komatsu equipment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
  • Repair and replace components to OEM standards, with a focus on uptime.
  • Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams.
  • Work safely following all site procedures and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime.

Ledcor is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to support our operations in CNRL Albian Reclamation project in Fort MacKay, AB.

You'll work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators, helping keep critical equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently
  • Repair and replace components to OEM standards, with a focus on CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment
  • Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams
  • Work safely with tools and equipment, following all site safety procedures
  • Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair (mining or heavy civil preferred)
  • Apprentice or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools

  • Must be available for day / night shifts
Work Conditions
  • Project based position working 14 days on and 14 days off, working 12 hours per day
  • Work is anticipated to be completed in April 2027 with potential for extension
