The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of outside sales experience in heavy equipment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel across Eastern Canada.

Qualifications

• Post Secondary Education required with 3–5 years outside sales experience in heavy construction/equipment sales.
• Safety conscious and customer centric with strong relationship management.
• Proven success in acquiring new customers and opportunities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for growth of existing and new business.
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills with continuous improvement mindset.
• A mechanical/technical background and knowledge of heavy equipment lines.
• Self-motivated, results-driven and adaptable to changing priorities with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute yearly territory plan and marketing strategies to prospect new business in Forestry, Municipal, and General Construction sectors.
• Represent Toromont Cat to support heavy equipment sales and customer agreements.
• Provide quotes and present products, options, and value propositions to customers.
• Maintain customer profiles and update territory plans for effective management.
• Travel to remote customer sites and participate in regional sales meetings as needed.
• Stay current on competitive marketplace to ensure best value for customers.
