Holcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation, and the growth of resilient cities.
Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region.
The newly listed company will become North America’s leading building solutions company, with an industry-leading market position to meet its customers’ greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will maintain operations of the pit on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the Aggregates Production Lead Hand, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be required to inspect, maintain, and operate a wheel loader, excavator, dozer, and/or 40-ton articulated haul trucks and will be required to assist with labour and servicing activities as a part of the crushing/pit crew.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in mining or aggregates; 5 years proven experience in heavy equipment operation
Required Training/Certifications: Valid operator training; 1A License is an asset
Required Technical Skills: Skilled in operating wheel loaders, dozers, haul trucks, and excavators; ability to complete daily inspections and basic servicing
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel within regional site locations
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
