De Beers Group has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Process Plant Team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site in the Northwest Territories. The role involves feeding ore into the process plant from stockpiles and reports to the Process Plant Supervisor.

This fixed-term contract runs to June 2027 with a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of front-end loader experience in mining, a strong focus on safety, and

Responsibilities

• Operate Kamatsu WA900 loaders to feed ore to the process plant primary crusher.
• Assist with crushing operations and support plant maintenance.
• Monitor equipment and systems for malfunctions; ensure safe operation.
• Perform clean-up duties as required and maintain plant logs/reports.
• Maintain areas per SOPs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for the process plant.
• Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are followed.

De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting full-time opportunity for a motivated and energetic Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Process Plant Team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Process Plant Supervisor, this position is responsible for feeding ore into the process plant from the ore stockpiles. This is a fixed‑term contract to June 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to all security policies and report any issues that may harm the people, environment, information, or product. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm.

This is a site‑based position with two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotation. This is a fixed‑term contract to June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating the Kamatsu WA900 loaders supplying ore to the process plant primary crusher;
• Excavator experience sorting ore and rock breaker use an asset;
• Monitoring, inspect equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating normally;
• Assist with crushing operations;
• Clean up duties, when required;
• Completing and maintaining plant logs and reports; and
• Maintaining areas and responsibilities according to standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent life skills;
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Mine on front end loaders.
• Experience in similar roles feeding process plants considered an asset;
• Strong communication skills; and
• Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
