Position Scope
NACG is seeking Dozer Operators to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area. This is an opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region. NACG offers a combined rate of up to $55.42/hour and room for growth!
Where You’ll Be Working
- Site: Kearl
- Schedule: 14 x 14, 12-hour days (paid for 11.5 hours). 14 days on, 14 off. 14 nights on, 14 off.
- Accommodations: Camp accommodation provided.
- Transportation: Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary. Busing from Fort McMurray to the site (before and after rotation).
- Overtime: Currently at Kearl, blended rates with no overtime.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate D9 - D11 Dozers and various sizes and models as required
- Support shovels at the site as needed
- Read stakes and set grades accordingly
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, operating standards, and procedures
- Use appropriate safety equipment, including PPE
- Review safe work plans/hazard assessments before starting work
- Conduct equipment/area walk-arounds, safety checks, and risk assessments
- Report repairs, incidents, near misses, or damage immediately
Qualifications
What Makes You the ONE
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating D9 - D11 Dozers
- At least 1 year working with mining shovels
- Experience operating on muskeg/soft ground required
- Preferably 1+ year in a mining environment
- Ability to follow instructions for safe operation
- Safety-first attitude
- Attentive with strong listening skills
- High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education (asset)
- Proficient in English (verbal and written)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

What's Next
If selected, you will need to provide:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and recent Driver’s Abstract
- Valid CSO Certification
- Wildlife Awareness (Wood Buffalo or Energy Safety Canada) (Kearl only)
- Agreement to random testing at Suncor, Fort Hills, and Kearl sites
- Pre-employment testing: Breath alcohol, urine drug, health assessment, audiometric, vision, criminal record check
Once dispatched, the process includes:
- Scheduling pre-employment testing
- Receiving and completing new hire paperwork
- Scheduling orientation and confirming start date
