Job summary

Frederictonchamber is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our crew in Fredericton, NB. The successful candidate will operate excavators, perform inspections, and support site preparation in a collaborative environment.

Applicants should have 2+ years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and a solid understanding of site safety practices. Weather conditions may vary; reliability and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of excavator operating experience.
• Valid driver’s license (Class 5; Class 3 an asset).
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices.

Excavator Operator

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our crew. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators for digging, trenching, grading, and site preparation
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
• Work alongside labourers and other operators as part of a teami>
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating excavators (2+ years preferred)
• Must have a Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum; Class 3 an asset)
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices
• Ability to read grade stakes and plans (asset)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather condition

Assets (Not Required):

• Experience with other heavy equipment (dozer, loader, skid steer)
• First Aid certification
• WHMIS / safety training
