Job summary

Iconic Power Systems seeks an Equipment Operator to support Edmonton area construction projects. You will operate and maintain equipment safely, coordinate daily activities with site supervisors, and help ensure productivity and quality on site.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and communication. Candidates should have proven equipment operation experience, ground disturbance training, hoisting and rigging familiarity, and a strong knowledge of civil construction practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction experience.
  • Experience operating construction equipment.
  • Ground Disturbance Training is required.
  • Hoisting and rigging experience.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate daily work activities with supervisors and site crews.
  • Support excavation, trenching, grading, and general civil construction work.
  • Participate in site safety meetings and follow all safety procedures.
  • Assist with hoisting and rigging activities as required.
  • Identify and communicate potential project or site issues.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Report equipment deficiencies and repair requirements.
  • Support crew operations and provide guidance to less experienced workers when required.
  • Ensure work is completed to project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate construction equipment safely and efficiently
