Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Chester, NS to support the maintenance and assembly of custom heavy equipment. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, assembling systems, performing 12–24V DC wiring, and conducting testing of finished equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DC electrical systems and ability to diagnose equipment.
• Licensed Mechanic License or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Read specs and interpret engineering drawings to assemble heavy equipment.
• Perform DC wiring for 12–24V systems.
• Work with hydraulic systems from 2 GPM to 200+ GPM.
• Utilize cranes and lift trucks to move and assemble equipment.
• Participate in static and dynamic testing of finished equipment.
