Job summary

ManpowerGroup, Inc.’s client is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance and assembly team in Chester, NS. You will read specifications, assemble heavy equipment, and support engineering and production activities on site.

The role calls for strong problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and hands-on work with hydraulic and electrical systems. Monday–Friday daytime hours, contributing to safety and quality in delivering high‑quality equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DC based electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Licensed Mechanic License or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read specs and interpret engineering drawings to assemble custom heavy equipment.
• Perform DC wiring systems (12–24V).
• Work with hydraulic systems (2 GPM to 200+ GPM).
• Utilize cranes and lift trucks to transfer and manufacture equipment.
• Participate in static and dynamic testing of finished equipment.
