AGB Products, a long-standing manufacturing company in Saint-Quentin, NB, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. The role emphasizes initiative, prioritization, and accurate documentation.

We value teamwork and provide training opportunities. The position is full-time, permanent, with a 44-hour work week and potential after-hours urgent repairs.

Qualifications

• Training in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent education and experience.
• Journeyperson certification or Red Seal endorsement is an asset.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems relevant to experience level.
• Apprentices welcomed and will be considered for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on forklifts, loaders, trailers, and other equipment.
• Conduct annual maintenance and required repairs on company-owned vehicles.
• Carry out oil, filter, fluids, tire and routine maintenance services.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics and other components.
• Assist technicians during maintenance operations and inspections.
• Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Perform welding, fabrication and repair of metal components as needed.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals for repairs.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
