Position: Service Technician

The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing Material Handling and Heavy-Duty equipment, including electric power and internal combustion engine forklifts and similar machinery.

What We Offer:
  • Wage and Pension: $49.15 to $51.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Perform routine scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM), appraisals, and Safety Inspections.
  • Complete all necessary timecard and report documentation.
  • Perform shop or road work as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Communicate repair status and requirements with customers and Supervisors.
  • Enhance the customer experience through professionalism.
  • Order and track parts requests to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Previous experience with aerial, lift trucks, and heavy-duty equipment preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and able to set high standards.
  • Physical ability to perform duties (lifting, mobility).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Training, Education, and Experience:
  • Red Seal Heavy-Duty Equipment certification or equivalent experience in construction and material handling.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair Spark Ignition LPG engines, Compression Ignition engines, Hydraulic, and electrical systems, including reading schematics.

Working Conditions:

This position is based at the Surrey branch, working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Some travel may be required as assigned.
