Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Location: St. John's, NL A1H 0H6

Workplace: On site

Salary: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour (to be negotiated), 40 to 60 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time

Vacancies: 1

Starts: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
Qualifications
  • No formal degree or diploma required
  • 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Physically demanding work involving bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity
  • Own tools: Steel-toed safety boots
Additional Information
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
